In this role, you will:- Manage and develop teams of managers and individual contributors in roles with moderate work complexity and risk in the operations functional area
- Work with more experienced management to develop and execute business strategies.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development within the operations functional area
- Improving efficiencies by having a proactive approach in ensuring resource allocations aligns with the budget and department goals
- Develop and implement business unit strategies
- Provide expertise for technical, operational, and processing functions related to business unit
- Determine appropriate strategy and actions of Operation management functional team to meet moderate to high-risk deliverables
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functions with moderate complexity within scope of responsibility across business lines or functional areas
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners and peers associated with the function or affected by its outcomes
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Operations
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
- Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them
- Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing, and developing team members, identifying, and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks
- Ensure proper engagement and communication is in place for all team members across all shifts/days
- Ensure all control processes are followed across the team.
- Actively engage with peers to share best practices.
Required Qualifications:- 6+ years of Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of management experience
Desired Qualifications: - Experience managing managers in a fast paced, production environment
- Experience leading others in a 24x7 processing environment
- Experience within Banking Operations, specifically with Lockbox, payments, transaction processing, or logistics/supply chain leadership
- Experience driving and leading organizational change in a dynamic environment
- Experience handling customer service escalations
- Experience executing transformational strategic plans
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including senior management
- Experience collaborating with technology partners.
- Experience working with internal and/or external auditors
- Experience recruiting, inspiring, developing, coaching, and motivating team members through balanced leadership with a focus on team member engagement, retention, and performance management
- Ability to lead staff in prioritizing work, meeting deadlines, achieving goals, and working under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
- Ability to motivate staff through performance feedback
- Ability to remain flexible and adaptable during times of ambiguity and change
- Ability to manage initiatives involving process improvements
- Experience using process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma
- Experience designing, managing, and prioritizing tasks and responsibilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience successfully collaborating with others in a change driven environment
