Job Description
This is a 12-week full-time summer internship based in Sunnyvale or Mountain View.

The LinkedIn Design team is looking for a skilled writer with an interest in product design to join us for a paid summer writing internship.
As a Content Design intern, you’ll apply your writing skills to one of our many digital products. You’ll make sure every button, every notification, and every error message is thoughtful, human, and inclusive. You’ll learn how tech companies really work, and get to influence real product decisions.

Responsibilities
- Learn about writing for digital products
- Write using LinkedIn’s voice and tone (personable, inclusive, encouraging, and helpful)
- Design content for web and mobile, including microcopy, interaction flows, error messages, notifications, and in-product messaging
- Contribute to our content writing guidelines
- Develop tools, processes, talks, and tips to show the value of content design
- Document and share processes, workflow, feedback history, and decisions
- Present your work at design reviews
- Receive feedback from content designers, designers, product managers, and others

Basic Qualifications
- Currently pursuing BA/BS, MA/MS or PhD
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program and returning to school the term following your summer internship

- Strong writing skills
- Interest in product design
- Experience writing for different audiences
- A strong point of view about writing
- A love of presenting and storytelling
- Empathy, a sense of humor, and appreciation for the em dash

The pay range for this role is $55 to $65 USD per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
