This is a highly technical role reporting to the Manager of Advanced Services, Americas. The resident engineer will provide post-sales on-site support for Juniper’s networking products. The Resident Engineer will be required to develop and maintain expertise on the products deployed within the customer’s network.

Job Description
- Product Knowledge: Network Access Control, Mist
- Product Familiarity: QFX, EX
This position will be primarily remote, with expected travel to customer sites on at least a quarterly basis. Travel may be more frequent depending on the stage of the associated project. Support to the customer will require the resident engineer to have:
- Minimum 7 - 10 years of hands-on network engineering experience
- Network engineering experience in a consultative manner supporting full-stack enterprise solutions
- Network access control for user identity, authorization, and controlled network access
- Hands-on experience supporting Juniper QFX and EX product family platforms
- Familiarity with Data Center Switching, Routing, Network Security, and EVPN/VXLAN
- Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of Network Access Control solutions
- Juniper Networking Specialist certification is required, Professional level preferred
Ideal Strengths and Experiences
- Expert level relationship management, communications skills, and interpersonal skills to manage face-to-face communications daily with multiple levels of customer management and engineering staff across multiple departments within the host company in a responsible and professional fashion
- Customer culture alignment in a strong technical team with deep expertise across multiple layers of technical responsibility
- Expert-level troubleshooting methodology to isolate and identify configuration, design, and software anomalies; ability to clearly articulate findings in written and verbal communications with development-level engineering staff
- Ability to apply knowledge to real-world scenarios
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work calmly under pressure
- Self-starter, team player, personable, enthusiastic, hardworking, and enjoy interfacing with customers on a day-to-day basis.
- A plus to have hands-on configuration and operational knowledge of other vendor products and their operations
- The ability to see a need and insert/suggest Juniper technology or reach out to the sales team and suggest same
Minimum Salary: $118,976.00
Maximum Salary:$171,028.00
The pay range for this position is expected to be between $118,976.00 and $171,028.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
