Description:Perform routine inspection test operations on hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical production units and parts.
Follow detailed instructions, basic engineering drawings, specification, work guides, records, data sheets, quality control test procedures, and other written or oral instructions to perform routine inspection test operations on production units and parts.
Test and inspect less complicated standard production hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical units.
Make necessary connections to test stands or test equipment and subject units to required loads to test units under normal operating conditions.
Observe and record results of tests, inspect both physical and functional operation of units within limits of assignment, as prescribed.
Disassemble and assemble units and parts to make minor adjustments and correct settings according to prescribed standards and instructions.
Make routine check on electrical accessories of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical units with basic electrical testing equipment as occasion requires. Make up reports on findings, refer unusual discrepancies to higher classified test mechanic for verification.
Perform other related duties as directed, assist higher grade test mechanics on involved and difficult test operations. Refer all unusual or difficult problems to foreman.
Basic Qualifications:Requires ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
Also requires knowledge of test methods and procedures, and application of specialized testing, measuring and recording instruments.
Equivalent to 2 years high school plus 2 to 3 years technical training in mechanical and hydraulic test methods, along with basic principles of electricity.
6 to 9 months experience.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
