Program Summary
KBR Metrology supports Honeywell Aerospace, Otto Instruments, Garrett Advance Motion, and their suppliers with services including onsite/offsite laboratory visits, test equipment calibration and repair, AMS2750 pyrometry services, metrology engineering, and equipment inspection. They also offer preventative maintenance, equipment sourcing, CMM inspections, automation and programming, measurement technical support, calibration recall system management, and performance tracking dashboards.

Job Summary
Metrology calibration technician II is responsible for taking care of the day-to-day escalations and priority requests regarding calibration. Technician will be required to perform the calibrations in-lab or on-site using accredited standards. Calibrations will be performed without automation and requires fluency in calibration procedures and hands-on experience with setting up test equipment. This role will report to the lead technician and lab manager.
Roles and Responsibilities
- In-lab and on-site calibrations
- Electrical (voltage, current, resistance, power)
- Frequency (oscilloscopes, frequency analyzers, timers)
- Pressure (analog and digital)
- Temperature (ovens, controllers, thermocouples)
- Weight (scales)
- Customer face-to-face interaction (tier meetings and escalations)
- Escort outsourced vendors throughout site as required
- Participate in quality audits as required
- Follow all calibration procedures and requirements as required
Basic Qualifications
- Prior experience with ISO 9001/ISO 17025/Z540 calibrations
- Working knowledge of QMS and other database systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace experience preferred
- AMS2750 experience preferred
