This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.

Role Description
Are you passionate about engineering and eager to thrive in a fast-paced environment that encourages learning and growth?
As an Engineer 1, Planning and Design Intern on the Engineering Department, you will be able to be involved in the pre-construction and construction functions of broadband communications systems.
What are some interesting problems the student will work on?
Responsible for the planning and designing of broadband communication systems. Works with project team to design systems and determine project specifications. Inspects projects periodically to ensure adherence to project specifications. Prepares and maintains project documentation.

You’ll be collaborating with Comcast’s top talent as we undertake the region’s largest expansion project, contributing to the planning and design of our infrastructure and gaining valuable insights into new processes along the way.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assists in conducting analysis to determine efficiency, equipment economy, and systems operation simplicity.
- Prepares prints, special maps, key maps, graphs, diagrams, and graphic drawings for use by other departments. Updates and maintains system maps, keys, and design files.
- Processes HFC SMB and small plant extensions. Prepares files and assigns to business partner in P2. Receives files and QC in Spatial.
- Generates HFC design package for construction including design DWG or PDF and BOM. Uploads design package to P2 and approves design task.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Map reading
- AutoCAD
- Fiber and Coax knowledge
- Preferred Majors: Engineering or other similar
- Previous intern program participant or prior experience as Comcast intern preferred
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
- Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2025- Spring 2027)
- Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2025 semester before graduating)
- Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025
- Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
- Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Base Pay: $25.00
