Description:You will be the Research Engineering Manager for a team of engineers supporting new product review and introduction, LRIP and FRP products for program delivery. The primary processes supported include processes used in the fabrication of circuit card assemblies through the utilization of automated and robotic processes.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Research Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the review of future designs, including providing producibility feedback that includes impact of current designs. You will lead the preparedness of your team to transition those designs into production.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading the team to identify impacts (ROI) for documented design deficiencies.
• Focusing on Lean and automation implementations to drive waste elimination from processes.
• Leading the team to develop a baseline of current state and identification of process variation to drive to a documented improved future state.

This position is located in Ocala, Florida Discover Ocala.
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related engineering discipline from an accredited college
• Experience leading an engineering team
• Experience with the manufacturing of electronics, electromechanical, or harness assemblies
• Capital equipment acquisition experience
• Experience participating in and providing feedback for Design Assurance Reviews
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
• The candidate must be willing to work alternate shifts
Desired Skills:
• MBA preferred with the ability to understand business component, ROI for new designs and equipment
• Experience presenting to Senior and Executive Leadership
• Experience with SAP
• Lean manufacturing concepts and deployment
• CREO, SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Access, Word, Excel, Teams).

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
