Job Title: Regional Sales Manager
Location: Remote Office (West)
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) who will be responsible for achieving growth and sales targets by passionately promoting the company brand and products to food retailers, convenience stores, drug stores and dollar stores. The RSM will successfully expand the customer base and create strong customer relationships by satisfying customer needs and demonstrating expertise on how to best to apply refrigerated display case merchandisers and sustainable refrigeration technology. The candidate must have excellent communication, customer and interpersonal skills. The individual should have experience in dealing with individuals at multiple levels of the organization. Key to success in the position is the ability to develop a strategic sales plan, execute a tactical approach to achieving sales goals by combining product knowledge and marketing resources.
What you’ll be responsible for in this role:
- Build a strategic sales plan account by account
- Manage and provide factory support to contracted rep groups, dealers & Independents
- Conduct sales calls with dealers and without to assigned accounts as well as prospective customers to explain the products and services that our company offers
- Qualify account needs while identifying key mobilizers within a retailer’s organization.
- Create and close sales
- Establish a commitment to forecasting business revenue on a month, quarter and annual basis
- As the key single point of contact with customers in your specific region of influence, you will handle price objections, negotiations, preparation of bids and aftermarket support to strengthen the relationship
- Model a collaborative atmosphere with our customer base that seeks to solve complex problems
- Record, update, and analyze account information to identify sales strategies and objectives
- Gather information on emerging trends within our industry from various sources and applying that knowledge as you work with our product management leaders.
- Continually be aware of the expectations and needs of our customers and suppliers.
- 50% travel anticipated to spend in front of customers
- Meet with Customers, Prospects, and Suppliers at their facilities on scheduled and unscheduled basis
What are the basic qualifications?
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration or a related field with 5+ years of progressive technical sales experience in a refrigeration industry related environment OR 7-10 years progressive technical sales experience in a refrigeration industry related environment.

- Basic understanding of refrigeration and construction requirements for intended applications
- Willing to travel on a regular basis to attend required meetings, customer visits, etc.
- Effective problem-solving capability
- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with customers and others across all levels and functions of the business
- Individual must collaborate and establish strong working relationships with customers, contractors, field service, industry peers and others as needed
