The Leidos Partnership for Defense Health is seeking a Technical Architect to work REMOTELY and support its $4.6B single award DHMSM IDIQ contract, known as MHS GENESIS. This highly visible program provides modernization of Electronic Health Records (EHR) capabilities for the Department of Defense, supporting nearly 10 million service members and their families worldwide. While every healthcare system is addressing quality, user experience and cost, the MHS GENESIS program has the added challenge of delivering these objectives within the DOD security environment, at the DOD’s global scale, all while supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA)’s vision of a medically ready force ─ which is essential to our national defense.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Technical Architect will lead and define solutions for new or active projects and ensure adherence to standards and best practices and leadership to design, development, integration, and sustainment (break/fix) support for systems and associated interfaces in pre- and post-deployment phases. Provide leadership support to technical activities to stabilize system operation and ensure suitable system performance may also be required. Selected candidate will leverage technical architecture skills and experience, providing guidance and mentoring more junior team members.
Additional responsibilities include:
Ensure that new technology is properly implemented in accordance with project guidelines
Create detailed designs of technology solutions based on customer requirements
Provide technical support for new capabilities and modifications to existing capabilities.
Conduct feasibility studies regarding new technologies and their applications
Assess current systems to determine if they are still functional or need updating
Maintain and update documentation related to the project including procedures, protocols, and specifications
Coordinate with partners to ensure that they meet all deadlines and deliverables
Present/defend designs to senior project and customer stakeholders
FACTORS FOR SUCCESS
BS Degree and 10-15 years of relevant technical architecture experience.
US Citizen with an active ADP2/IT2 Public Trust (or higher) clearance. Federal Government requirement.
Full lifecycle architecture experience
EHR system architecture and implementation experience
Broad technical solution architect knowledge on Performance, Scalability, Cloud, infrastructure, Data, database, or other areas
Troubleshooting of deployed IT systems, including database
Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to successfully interact with internal and external team members, including executive leadership, as well as technology and solutions resources at a variety of levels, as well as the ability to express complex technical concepts into business terms.
The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, and collaborative approach, with the ability to adapt and lead change courageously.

Familiar with HL7 messages and integration engine is a big plus
