Lowe's 2025 Summer Internship Program offers a challenging, project-based opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to enhance their understanding of the retail business world through valuable, hands-on experience with a FORTUNE® 50 company. The summer internship program begins with orientation on May 27th and concludes on August 1st. All internships are paid opportunities. This role has potential for conversion into a full-time Pricing Analyst role for those that successfully complete their internship and required education. And qualified interns will be eligible for Lowe's housing benefit.
The primary purpose of the Lowe’s Pricing team to provide pricing support & subject matter expertise for all product categories within their assigned business area. This team act as strategic partners to the merchants assisting in enabling profitable sales growth while managing day to day pricing activities and strategy implementation across the pricing item lifecycle inclusive of base price, promotional pricing, pro pricing, and markdown/clearance pricing levers.
This may include running pricing scenarios, price tests, analysis & recommendations, and running price updates in response to business and competitive needs.
Conducting financial analysis to support pricing in specific businesses and categories, synthesizing multiple disparate data sources to drive pricing recommendations.
Monitoring and responding to competitive movements and financial trends to ensure consistency with broader pricing strategies and guardrails.
Generating ad hoc reporting and analyzing data to identify pricing opportunities in specific businesses or categories.
Base Price Project intended to focus on Omnichannel /online pricing process as we are evolving our e-commerce base pricing ways of working.
Skills to be developed during the internship:
Leveraging data to provide fact-based pricing recommendations to the business.
Pricing Strategy analysis and recommendation process for an omni retail business.
Data mining and data visualization methods for pricing recommendations.
Omni pricing data foundations, leveraging data to unlock business value.
Pro Pricing Project the intern will assist the Pro Pricing team by developing analytics tools intended to optimize price setting. The work will unlock value for our Pro customers and as a result deliver meaningful financial results for the business.
This individual will be expected to develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders across the organization to better understand their needs and identify areas of opportunity to deliver the best possible level of service and results to their respective partners.
The individual will leverage available pricing tools and data to deliver meaningful insights and recommendations that support the Pro Pricing team’s sales and margin objectives.
The intern will learn the details of the Pro segment within Home Improvement retail as well as the relationships between several unique pricing programs and be able to communicate program parameters clearly.
Education and/or Experience:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related fields from an accredited university with expected graduation dates of December 2025 or May 2026.
Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA is required.
Proficient in MS Office Programs (specifically Word, Excel, and Power Point) and other analytics programs/systems.
Strong collaborative, innovative, analytical thinking, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills are required.
Relevant internship and experience is a plus, as is experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization.
