Reporting to the HR Shared Services Compliance Lead, the person in this role will support the Talent Operations Team’s objective to provide centralized, highly repeatable solutions that allow RSM to achieve business goals while balancing the needs of our employees.
The HRSS Specialist - Compliance provides operational excellence and support for onboarding, work authorizations, compliance and regulatory reporting such as affirmative action and diversity, internal/external audits, and employee data administration.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage work authorizations for employees in US and Canada which includes:
- Obtaining copies of valid work permits, documentation and maintaining in Workday
- Ensuring timely completion of I-9s
- Escalating work authorization issues to Talent Compliance Director and global immigration
- Monitor and follow up with employees on completion of I-9 tasks in Workday (for new hires and employees who reverify), give guidance to employees and assist trouble-shooting I-9s as needed
- Act as authorized representative to verify I-9 form as requested by employee
- Support proactive communications to new hires regarding I-9 tasks
- Monitor, track and follow up with new hires on outstanding onboarding tasks, including new hire code of conduct survey and compliance training, as well as acknowledgment of employment and confidentiality agreements
- Respond/resolve Service Now tickets; requests may be related to:
- Personnel file requests
- Supporting vetting of employees for various recognition programs
- RFP requests
- Support completion of regulatory and ad-hoc employer reporting by compiling, analyzing and scrubbing data and preparing data files
- Review and approve employee changes in Workday related to personal information
- Support other projects and tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or previous work experience
- Minimum of 2 years HR administration experience, preferably in a Shared Services environment
- Experience using a large-scale HRIS such as Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle, UKG
- Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Uses good time management and prioritizes daily tasks
- Handles sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail and quality

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $44,700 - $71,500
