Overview
The Pricing Sales Analyst is responsible for work-loading and cost estimation for ABM’s Business and Industry Group specifically related to our janitorial (JS) and building service engineering (BSE) services.
This position will be trained for more complex pricing exercises (Integrated Facility Services-IFS) by the Senior Estimator or Director. This position supports both sales and operations for new sales and retention through the development of competitive pricing, work-loading and costing. PSA are in charge of conducting accurate cost analyses and estimations for new and existing jobs. They are responsible for preparing preliminary estimates for conceptual projects and assisting more experienced estimators with direct cost reports. These estimators follow company procedures to facilitate and define project scope, as well as use their financial expertise to prepare effective proposals in a deadline driven environment. They help other estimators with pricing schedules, participate in proposal preparation, and perform technical assessments to facilitate analysis functions. In all tasks, PSA's must follow project specifications and any relevant confidentiality rules. Additionally, PSAs complete risk analyses of data related to program costs. They prepare detailed reports based on economic assessments of key indicators, as well as assist with preapproval of estimates using limited information such as project scope and relevant precedents. PSAs conduct post-project costs analyses, provide input on competitive bids and negotiated contracts, conduct data collection, and develop models.

Responsibilities:
• Identify and resolve deviations from the proposal, including scope and specifications.
• Oversee work progress, complete logs, and update supervisors about challenges.
• Write up technical reports, subcontracts, purchase orders, project updates, and proposals.
• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related
documents
• Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and
related documents. Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
• Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Attend site tours to understand client requirements and produce pricing and costing estimates
• Develop staffing requirements based on information provided by the client and other sources
• Calculating and developing multi service pricing and costing for new business and re-pricing and re-costing existing business so as to ensure competitive positioning
• Review proposed and/or existing Scope of Work documentation to ensure complete pricing and
costing of all requirements
• Maintains technical knowledge & develops and maintains internal benchmarking of operational
productivity by service line and compares actual costs internally and against ABM’s National
historical trends as well as industry trade groups such as the ISSA, BSCAI, IFMA, BIFM, and BOMA
so as to ensure ongoing competitiveness and business retention
• Responsible for standardized tools for labor loading across all service lines that support business
development growth and operational competitiveness
Other Requirements:
• Travel requirements range 10%
• Hybrid position working three days a week in the office (Tuesday-Thursday).
Must be able to work independently and be highly productive
• Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Helpful (but not required) to understand CRM and salesforce.com
• Familiar with Benchmarking, Trend Analysis, and Metrics

Experience / Education
• BS/BA degree and/or related experience in a construction or services industry
• Reasonable understanding of finance and simple business calculations
