Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.
Job Summary
The HVAC Mechanic reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman. Duties include installing, servicing, and repairing environmental control units ranging from window units to chill water systems in an extreme environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
Perform HVAC maintenance, repair, and installation tasks.
Respond to service calls and troubleshoot HVAC system issues.
Analyze, diagnose, and recommend solutions for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning problems.
Install, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment, including compressors, motors, fans, and thermostats.
Analyze, diagnose and repair small appliances for laundry and dining facility equipment.
Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
Collaborate with other team members and departments as needed.
Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Stay informed about advancements in HVAC technology and industry best practices.
Perform other duties and activities as directed.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Must have at least 3 years of directly related HVAC experience.
Must have 2 years’ experience recovering, recycling, and reclaiming refrigerants.
Must have a Universal EPA Certification.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of all relevant safety standards related to area of responsibility required.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis as well as climb, reach, crawl, bend, crouch, and work in tight spaces.
Requires a valid Driver's License.
Intermediate fluency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
Requires Poland ID and/or a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
This position is under the local Poland payroll, and candidates must be Polish citizens.
