Senior Proposals Manager

The Senior Proposals Manager forms part of the pursuit team that works closely with sales (business development) and operations (project director) in ensuring we offer creative, client focused and winning proposals.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Bid Manager, you will be managing bids through the entire lifecycle from pre-qualifications to handover, including but not limited to; creating executive summaries, developing knowledge store documents, client presentations and support project directors and business development directors on major pursuits. Provide leadership and support for other members of the Proposal Team in providing guidance, solutions and carrying out reviews.
The Senior Proposals Manager is responsible for:
- Reporting to the Head of Proposals and to assist in ensuring that the Proposals Team continues to deliver the highest quality proposal documentation.
- Proposal planning and co-ordination of proposal deliverables and facilitating their completion.
- Ensuring adherence to proposals procedures and providing guidance to others involved in proposal preparation processes (from kick-off to red team reviews).
- Ensuring proposals are responsive to invitation to tender documents.
- Developing, coordinating and producing win themes and strategies – differentiating KBR from our competitors.
- Writing individual sections of proposals or, for smaller proposals, the whole proposal.
- Conducting reviews of bids prior to submission to ensure submissions are to a high quality and to KBR standards
- Supporting business development / operations in developing all aspects of the bid,
- Standing in for the Head of Proposals and Manager of proposals in their absence
- Supporting the maintenance of data / information needed for the preparation of proposals.
- Preparation of expressions of interest, pre-qualifications, client presentations and support on other sales and marketing activities.
- Manage the continual upkeep and development of knowledge stores including standard company information, experience lists, executive summaries and all proposals related information
- Drive the bid team to follow processes, carry out due diligence before submitting proposals to meet tight deadlines
- Reporting to Senior Management on proposal activities and status.
Experience
Proven experience in bid management and delivering complex proposals under a tight timeframe. Good understanding of proposal processes and key principles for an international business.
This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. It will require strong people management skills.
Experience of delivering proposals for clients worldwide in the energy business. Experience of delivering collaborative proposals such as with JV partners and / or other global offices.

- Be responsible for managing and improving our success and win ratio.
- Confident stakeholder management
- Ideally have an engineering background but not essential
Requirements
- Essential - right to work in the UK.
- A relevant number of years’ experience in bid management preferably in the oil and gas industry / energy transition.
- Strong management skills and organizational
- Minimum requirement of three days on site.
