Public Fixed Income (Philadelphia, PA; Whippany, NJ): The Public Fixed Income Analyst will support groups including but not limited to trading, portfolio management, credit research, and operations functions within Public Fixed Income. The analyst’s key responsibilities may include:
- Analytical support to traders, portfolio managers, and strategists.
- Producing daily, weekly, and monthly reports to effectively manage and report on portfolio performance and risk.
- Working with the Public Fixed Income Trading Desk, middle office, and back office to allocate and process trades.
- Conducting research and analysis to communicate with senior management on topical issues in response to market developments.
The analyst will receive on-the-job training, online development tools, and a culture that encourages new members of the team to take an active role in the investment process. This role offers dynamic and continued learning in an ever-evolving market landscape. Public Fixed Income AUM was $311.8 billion on June 30, 2024.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Candidate must be currently enrolled in a higher education institution and actively pursuing an undergraduate degree with a strong academic record and a demonstrated interest in finance / economics
- Candidate’s anticipated graduation date must be between December 2024 and June 2025
- Candidate must have a strong work ethic, personal and professional integrity, and be able to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment while handling multiple projects
- Candidate must be able to work independently and in a team environment, remaining detail-oriented and client-focused
- Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and feel comfortable interacting with management-level professionals
- Candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
