Position Overview
The Subcontract Processing Specialist position is part of the KBS Subcontract Processing Department within the KBS Accounts Payable Services area. The Subcontract Processing Analyst is responsible for reviewing internal data and formatting that information into summarized reporting/presentations. Then taking this summarized data to collaborate with internal and external partners on problem-solving, implementing best practices, and assisting with root cause analysis.

Location
This position is based out of our Kiewit Business Center in Omaha. We offer a hybrid work schedule after 90 days.
Responsibilities
- Improve, execute, and efficiently communicate root cause analysis and insights that identify meaningful trends and opportunities for the business to act upon
- Partner with other stakeholders across our business to identify areas of improvement including the impact/ROI
- Research quality and compliance issues and recommend changes for improvement
- Work with legal and risk management departments to ensure protocols are being followed
- Assist with the monitoring of internal controls
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external departments; understands Kiewit’s core business and promote a sense of urgency toward business-critical issues
- Assist with special projects
- Coordinate internal and external audit requests
- Support and participate in collaboration activities to promote and implement continuous process improvement (liaison)
Qualifications
- Between one to three years of experience
- Working knowledge of computers; proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Assertiveness: willing to take on learning activities and grasp developmental opportunities
- Excellent analytical, math and organizational skills; ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Highly motivated and self-directed; initiative and a sense of urgency
- Demonstrates professional behavior and a positive attitude
- Makes timely decisions with well-developed judgment, while considering alternatives, risks, and other critical decision factors

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- SAP background preferred
- Accounts Payable and/or Subcontract experience
