Job Summary
The KBR Army Aviation Operations Business Unit is searching for an experienced Program Management applicant in Huntsville, AL to join our team. In this role, the successful applicant will report directly to the Senior Program Manager for Army Aviation and be responsible for applying their knowledge and experience with Army project execution in support of an Army customer.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the daily execution and management of complex program efforts in support of an Army Program Office. Candidate will assist in the management and execution of multiple programs for cost, schedule, and performance. Will develop/enhance processes for preparation of and utilization of project plans, financial databases, and processes associated with the execution of onsite and solution-based support to the Project Office. Additional responsibilities include:
- Manage the company’s contracted personnel for multiple technical, logistical, and programmatic projects within a U.S. Army Project Office.
- Collects, completes, manages, organizes, and interprets technical data and financial information relating to program execution.
- Coordinates updates for program execution/delivery, fund status, availability, and in the development of forecasting reports.
- Assists the Army customer in coordinating and briefing the customer on project information as well as assisting the Army customer in solutioning based on specified customer requests.
- Develops program estimates for new business and manages cost expended against legacy budgets.
- Develops/maintains tracking techniques to monitor program execution, using existing information and reporting systems.
- Develop and implement, upon government management approval, a detailed plan for the overall contractor support management of the U.S. Army Project Office. Establish clear organizational lines of authority and responsibility within the contractor’s company. Successfully integrate and coordinate all activity needed to execute the task order requirements.
- Manage the timeliness and quality of work performed and effective management of the workforce.
- Serve as the designated site-lead to manage the day-to-day task order performance.
- Manages contractual requirements to ensure successful contract performance for multiple contract vehicles.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- Must have at least twelve years of experience in Project/Program Management.
- Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A current Secret Clearance is required.
- Direct demonstrated experience in Acquisition and Program Management in Army aviation.
- Direct experience managing Government support contractors for an Army customer
- Some travel may be required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Engineering or related fields
- Experience with Army Rotary Wing technology insertion
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience in yearly budget planning
- Knowledge of DoD/US Army FMS/LOA policy guidance relating to all aspects of FMS case management or strong FMS financial background
