Job Overview:
PENNEP is seeking a talented and dedicated AWS Cognito Security Specialist to join our client’s dynamic team. This role focuses on designing and implementing secure authentication and authorization solutions using AWS Cognito, ensuring alignment with healthcare security standards like HIPAA. Note: Estimate start date- April 2025.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage authentication and authorization solutions using AWS Cognito.
- Ensure all solutions comply with HIPAA and other relevant healthcare security standards.
- Collaborate with development and security teams to integrate AWS Cognito into applications seamlessly.
- Perform risk assessments and implement best practices for secure user management and data protection.
- Troubleshoot and resolve security-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in AWS Cognito, with a proven track record of building secure solutions.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare security standards such as HIPAA and how they apply to system design.
- Background in secure authentication and authorization practices, including multi-factor authentication and role-based access controls.
- Familiarity with AWS services and their integration with Cognito, such as API Gateway and Lambda.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
