Sr. Android Engineer
What does a successful Sr. Android Engineer do at Fiserv?
Dive into the forefront of the Fintech revolution as a Sr. Android Engineer, where you'll shape the future of payment technologies. Join us in a fast-paced, results-driven environment where your expertise will drive the development of a premier suite of Android client applications.
What you will do:
Take the lead on maintaining, enhancing, and releasing Android applications, ensuring top-notch quality and performance.
Work closely with clients and third-party vendors to define and meet technical requirements, crafting customized solutions that integrate seamlessly with external systems.
Spearhead the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of technical issues across both desktop and mobile platforms.
Collaborate with Product Development, UX Designers, and QA teams to develop high-quality products and solve complex technical challenges.
Engage in hands-on development, provide mentorship to fellow engineers, and promote best practices in code quality and software design.
Actively participate in all phases of the Agile SDLC, from planning to Scrum/Kanban boards, ensuring effective communication and collaboration within and across teams.
What you will need to have:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field.
3+ years of experience in programming, designing APIs for data architectures, and maintaining enterprise software applications.
Strong background in writing unit tests and enhancing client applications with them.
Deep understanding of client-server interactions, cloud-based enterprise systems scaling, and data structures and algorithms.
What would be great to have:
Profound knowledge and experience in Android application architecture.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, specifically Gradle/Kotlin DSL for Android development.
Experience in the Fintech space, particularly with platforms like Clover and in e-commerce environments.
Expertise in microservice-based architectures.
