Enjoin is seeking a Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Liaison to play a critical role in supporting our DRG Assurance (prebill) clients. About the Role:
As a CDI Liaison, you will be the key expert working directly with our clients across both inpatient and ambulatory settings. Your primary responsibilities will include managing client engagements, providing project management, conducting program assessments and gap analysis, and offering ongoing client education. You will help develop and sustain successful CDI programs, ensuring the highest standards of clinical documentation and coding compliance, and driving client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as project manager for CDI clients, ensuring efficient workflows, managing client expectations, and delivering measurable results.
- Perform documentation analysis, conduct gap assessments, and provide program evaluations to ensure successful DRG Assurance outcomes.
- Develop and improve CDI programs in collaboration with client sites, focusing on operational efficiency and sustainability.
- Deliver training and education to hospital personnel on clinical documentation improvement, DRG assignment, and query compliance.
- Perform data analysis and reporting to identify trends and opportunities for program enhancement.
- Travel occasionally to client sites and represent Enjoin at industry events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health information management or another Health-Related field required.
- RN, RHIA, CCDS, CDIP, or CCS credential required.
- Ten (10) years of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) and/or inpatient coding experience required. Proficiency in ICD-10-CM Diagnosis/Procedures Codes (PCS), DRG Reimbursement and Clinical Documentation guidelines required.
- Three (3) years of supervision/management over coding and/or CDI teams required.
- Understanding of CDI program infrastructure, workflow, and reporting/metrics required.
- Experience facilitating CDI, coder, and physician education, or experience working directly and communicating with these individuals required.
- Experience as an EMR Superuser, or experience working closely with the hospital’s IT team to implement/build/develop new workflows in the EMR required. Tech savviness and ability to work with multiple different EMRs required.

Work Environment:
- This is a full-time remote position. General hours of work are Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
- Work is generally sedentary, requiring long periods at workstation.
- Must have a reliable internet connection, phone, and a dedicated, secure workspace to ensure adherence to HIPAA Privacy and Security policies and procedures when viewing Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Enjoin provides a laptop and other necessary resources to perform duties.
