The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently pursuing a new opportunity that has an opening for a Configuration Management Specialist to work in Tampa, Florida. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Enterprise Development, Application, and Training (EDAT) mission. In this mission we are focused on providing innovative, data-driven solutions and enterprise architecture enhancements to enable seamless operations across USSOCOM's global network. The program emphasizes rapid development and deployment of technologies to enhance the mobility and readiness of Special Operations Forces (SOF) in both combat and non-combat scenarios. Key tasks include program management, application development, training support, and technology integration to maintain USSOCOM's operational edge. The EDAT program underscores agility and adaptability, ensuring SOF professionals have access to the information and tools they need to meet evolving mission requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain quality assurance (QA) processes and standards for all EDAT program deliverables, including software, infrastructure, and training materials.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with DoD regulations, contractual requirements, and established quality standards.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate system functionality, performance, and security.
- Perform manual and automated testing for applications, infrastructure, and data systems to identify and resolve defects.
- Collaborate with development, engineering, and program management teams to identify areas for process improvement.
- Recommend and implement strategies to enhance QA methodologies and improve product delivery timelines and quality.
- Maintain detailed records of QA activities, including test results, defect tracking, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and present QA reports to stakeholders, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure QA processes are integrated into the development lifecycle.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on QA best practices, tools, and techniques.
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires BS and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Security certifications, such as CompTIA Security+ or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), are advantageous.
- Equivalent experience or military training in QA processes and standards may be considered.
- Experience with QA tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JIRA, TestNG, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in testing methodologies, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
- 4-7 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing roles.
- Demonstrated ability to support QA efforts in enterprise or government environments.
- Must possess a Top Secret (TS) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Familiarity with DoD security standards, including DISA STIG and NIST guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- QA-related certifications such as Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE), ISTQB Certified Tester, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of automated testing tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation.
- Experience with testing in DevSecOps environments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with USSOCOM’s operational requirements and the SOF Information Environment (SIE). Previous experience supporting DoD programs with strict QA and compliance mandates.
- Experience in applying Six Sigma, Agile, or other process improvement methodologies to enhance QA workflows.
- Ability to design and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure QA effectiveness.
- Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and government stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present QA findings and recommendations clearly and effectively.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
