Description:Aircraft Production Operations Specialist - Junior LevelLocation: Greenville SCWhat You Will Be DoingJoin Lockheed Martin’s Aeronautics F-16 Program in Greenville, South Carolina, as a Production Operations Specialist supporting the manufacturing and assembly of the F-16 Fighting Falcon, Block 70. In this role, you will train and mentor technicians, identify process improvements, and implement innovative solutions to enhance production efficiency and quality. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in aircraft manufacturing and lean principles while contributing to one of the most iconic aerospace programs in history. Key Responsibilities- Observe, instruct, and mentor technicians in Airframe, Powerplant, and General (APG) systems, as well as Electrical/Avionics assembly and subsystems installation.
- Monitor assembly lines daily to identify and address deficiencies in processes, procedures, or skills, and recommend corrective actions or de-certifications as necessary.
- Develop and implement solutions to complex manufacturing challenges, leveraging root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
- Drive 6S and lean manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure consistent quality.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, supervisors, and management to align on goals and implement operational improvements.
- Support and lead initiatives aimed at reducing process variation and enhancing overall production performance.
- Ensure adherence to established standards, principles, and industry best practices in manufacturing operations.
- Participate in and support professional development programs for the team, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

Discover Greenville.Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or 4 years of professional experience
• Experience in reading and interpreting detailed blueprints, wiring installation and electrical schematics lay-out sketches, process standards and specifications for Avionics and APG installations.
• Experience with aircraft work instructions.
Desired Skills:• 6+ years aircraft assembly and/or modification experience with a minimum of 2 years F-16 experience preferred.
• Able to explain/demonstrate in detail layout process and secure coordination of assemblies working to station, water, center, and butt lines shown on engineering documents and be fluent in interpreting and performing coordinated exact tolerance dimensioning.
• F-16 Electrical, Avionics, APG repair experience highly desirable.
• Communication and interpersonal skills for the purpose of communication and instruction at all levels

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
