Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning and safety of facility systems and infrastructure. This role involves hands-on work across various trades including Minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs. The technician will work closely with the Supervisor to address maintenance issues promptly, maintain facility standards, and contribute to a safe and efficient working environment.
Pay Rate and Shift: Pay is $21-22 hr.
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
Shift- Must be flexible. Monday - Friday but nights and weekend occasionally occur.

Basic Qualifications: • Must be 18 years of age or older
• 1-2 years of experience
• Must have a driver's license and clean driving record, reliable transportation
Responsibilities and requirements: - A minimum of one year of Minor experience in the areas of, plumbing, painting and/or building maintenance is preferred
- Ability to make minor repairs, replacements, and/or adjustments on electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems
- Ability to accept direction and guidance from Senior Maintenance Technicians to build upon the current level of skills, talents, job knowledge, and experience
- Ability to expedite accurate documentation in accordance with ABM's policies and procedures
- Perform all position responsibilities in accordance with ABM policies and procedures and OSHA/EPA safety standards
- Review and respond to emails promptly by providing accurate answers and effective solutions to meet or beat your internal customers' expectations
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
- Mechanical aptitude
- Drywall patch and paint as needed at different buildings
- Doing tile or flooring installation
- Trim carpentry or exterior siding
- Exterior power washing
- Perform basic electrical and plumbing maintenance including changing lights or ballast
- Help crew with Snow removal in the winter
- Must be willing to perform general janitorial duties when needed, including:
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment
• Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks
• Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
• Wash and replace blinds
• Gather and empty trash
• Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
• Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms
