We have an exciting opportunity for a Contamination Control Scientist to join our team!

Responsibilities:
- Implement Quality and Contamination Control Standards/Requirements as they apply to curation facilities as well as curation facility Infrastructure Systems
- Implement ISO, ASTM, SEMI, IEST standards and recommended practices through systems engineering and/or procedure modifications in collaboration with the Facility Engineers and customer
- Implement Quality and Contamination Control procedures and standards to All ARES Infrastructure Systems (UPW, LN2, Isolators, Cleanrooms, etc.)
- Implement and keep up-to date Cleanroom and laboratory housekeeping practices and standards
- Training Related to Quality and Contamination Control for curation facilities including external and custom internal training curriculum with annual refresher courses
- Review Remote Monitoring Data and Results from daily and weekly readings in curation facilities. Notify stakeholders of any anomalies and start/lead investigation
- Cleanrooms/Labs (Particle counts, differential pressure, temperature, relative humidity)
- Gloveboxes/Isolators/Desiccators (Oxygen and Moisture)
- Ultrapure Water (Resistivity, TOC, Particle Counts)
- Conduct Monthly and Annual In-Depth Monitoring and Investigations into the Health of all Systems in curation facilities. Provide results, interpretation, and findings in a deliverable report to management and stakeholders
- Conduct Quarterly Quality and Contamination Control Walkthroughs with facility engineering, facility manager, and safety leads. Document any findings, interpret results, write report, and submit to stakeholders and management
- Investigate Quality and Contamination Control Issues (inorganic, organic, and biological cross-contamination) to laboratories, systems, cleanrooms, and precision cleaning
- In collaboration with Facility Engineers, evaluate system performance against requirements and standards; help troubleshoot any anomalies with infrastructure engineers. Recommend upgrades to the system performance with engineers
- Develop and recommend contamination control processes and procedures for labs and systems in Curation
- Review lab readiness reviews for Quality and Contamination Control Issues
- Review lab modifications and new construction for Quality and Contamination Control Issues
- Review material restriction waivers in curation labs
- Review material submittals for all new construction and facility modifications
- Work with facility engineers on projects to ensure Quality and Contamination Control
- Perform other duties as required
Here’s what you’ll need:
Requisition Qualifications:

- A BS degree and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience are typically required.
- Experience in quality and contamination control of Cleanrooms
- Experience with cross-contamination migration and flow modeling and applied mathematical statistics in contamination models
- Experience with cleanrooms operations and Monitoring Systems
- Experience with ISO 14644 Cleanroom Standards and IEST recommended practices for cleanrooms
- Experience with ultra-high purity inert gaseous pressure systems
- Experience with ultra-high purity gas purged isolators, gloveboxes, chambers, and desiccators
Requisition Preferences:
- M.S/B.S in Materials Science with experience semiconductor/nanotechnology contamination control; also degrees in Geochemistry, Chemistry and Industrial Hygiene with cleanroom experience in semiconductor/nanotechnology contamination control and/or clean semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or aerospace processing, quality and contamination control, a minimum of 2-5 years of experience are typically required
- M.A./Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering that focuses on semiconductor/nanotechnology contamination control; also degrees in Geochemistry, Chemistry and Industrial Hygiene with cleanroom experience in semiconductor/nanotechnology contamination control and/or clean semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or aerospace processing, quality and contamination control
- Preferred 5 years of experience in quality and contamination control of < ISO Class 5 cleanrooms and precision cleaning

Essential Functions
Work Environment
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
