Data Manager
Key Role:
Assist in the analysis and maintenance of plans, policies, and processes for data management, data governance, security, quality, accessibility, use, and disposal. Capture and document business requirements, formulate data collection plans, implement normalization processes, identify key performance metrics, develop queries to extract accurate and timely business information from existing data environments, and generate data visualizations to highlight patterns or trends in complex datasets. Employ data analysis expertise to create solutions through the application of appropriate analytical techniques and methods that leverage prevailing analytical tools. Initiate data architecture (DA) related activities, including extract-transform-load (ETL) processes and data warehouse solutions design, through business needs analysis and routine issue resolution. Apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years experience as a data professional, including as a DBA, DB Developer, ETL Developer or data analyst
Experience with assisting in the enforcement of data policies for effective data management to ensure data is handled efficiently, securely, and in compliance with organizational standards
Experience with assessing and establishing data-sharing rules within the organization and for external sharing
Experience with ensuring data security and integrity by planning and implementing safeguards of data against unauthorized access, breaches, or corruption
Ability to formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy
Ability to implement efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis
Ability to ensure procedures that facilitate data handling, storage, and analysis, including data integrity and security
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Data Management or IT
IAT Level II certification
Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Personal Health Information (PHI) data security standards
Knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies related to AI, data security or privacy, and use of publicly procured data for government
Knowledge of how information needs and collection requirements are translated, tracked, and prioritized across the extended enterprise
Knowledge of the organization’s core business or mission processes
Ability to assist users in effectively utilizing data systems, troubleshoot data issues, and ensure smooth data operations
Ability to consult with customers and key stakeholders to evaluate functional requirements for data applications
Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization, including senior or mid-level executives and operational-level personnel
Ability to label data to make it more discoverable and understandable
CDMP Cyber Certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
