Executive - Global Project Development
KBR is focused on supporting the energy transition and sustainability via our technological solutions in clean fuels, plastics recycling, ammonia, and critical minerals, to name a few. Progressing industrial projects to achieve final investment decisions in this space is unique and needs a diverse ecosystem to meet global demands. The Global Project Development Executive will serve in a leading and critical capacity within our organization, leveraging internationally recognized expertise. This individual’s contributions will shape significant, high-impact projects and strategies across the industry and foster advancements that are influential on a global scale. These are large and complex endeavors that involve greenfield as well as brownfield developments, requiring creative solutions to reach stated objectives. The position will develop and deploy innovative approaches to support various counterparties as part of the development infrastructure. These developments will involve the deployment of KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions core portfolio and factor in adjacent offerings to support overall progress. Additionally, this role will work with the Alliance team and other Project Development resources to find, develop, and secure financing for strategic initiatives. The role will have the following key responsibilities and requirements to be successful:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Engage with partners and customers to develop and implement strategies facilitating energy transition projects that influence the future of this sector.
- Support a multi-faceted interface with multiple counterparties as part of the development efforts.
- Work with A&A team to determine the viability of projects.
- Develop and maintain key relationships with clients, partners, financiers, banks, etc. as well as partner key KBR stakeholders.
- Communicate the value of KBR’s STS portfolio for project execution from concept to implementation.
- Ensure clear communication of the project development value proposition.
- Ensure sound strategic decision-making and alignment with the company's long-term goals.
Compliance & HSSE: Demonstrate commitment to compliance with all laws, regulations and corporate policies, ensuring the highest standards of ethics in business conduct, including but not limited to the KBR’s Code of Business Conduct, FCPA, ITCO and other relevant anti-corruption policies. Show strong commitment to safety and the importance of safety policies and procedures.
Experience, Skills, and Requirements:
- Must have demonstrated a leading and critical role in distinguished organizations, and show evidence of significant contributions that have garnered industry acclaim, advancing the field of project development globally.
- Must have a proven track record of internationally recognized achievements, as evidenced by the high-profile projects/programs/portfolios managed, participation in renowned industry forums, and established reputation as an influential thought leader across the industry community.
- Minimum of 12 years' chemical industry in leadership and project development capacity, including senior strategic and governing roles.
- Ability to understand and participate in all aspects of technology management, including support to regional sales and business development, proposal development, contract negotiation, and project execution.
- Business and risk management skills with the ability to successfully establish and execute contracts through multiple stages of project development
- Must have a personal commitment to organizational excellence, displaying honesty, integrity, and a strong sense of ethics in all decisions and actions
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
Education:
- M.S. in Engineering (or a related discipline), Ph.D. is preferable
MBA or equiv. business degree required
