BXT group is looking for a Software Engineer who will be responsible for the requirement analysis, design, development, and testing of software for enterprise applications consisting of backend services, portals, and databases. Job Description
What You’ll Need:
- You would support and development our Comcast Business core applications for our customers. Java Spring Boot is the programming language used within these core applications.
- Lead the customer solutions and design/development within the application for the customers product(Cable, WIFI, Phone). Primary lead role to drive the technical design for the platform in collaboration with architecture and project teams.
- Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements.
- Assumes the ownership of the feature design and guides the team throughout the delivery cycle of the feature.
- Defines and recommends the best practices and ensures the designs adhere to the best practices with emphasis on operations stability and reliability of the platform.
- Develops new capabilities or features or customizes current applications and supports applications in production.
- Assists in the rollout of software releases.
- Keeps current with technological trends within the industry.
- Assists in tracking and evaluating platform performance and operational metrics.
- Displays expertise in knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, and skills and their application in specified engineering specialties.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
- Strong and proficient with Java Spring Boot Framework is required,
- If you have C++ and Python that would be a PLUS!
- Experience with front-end web technologies like Angular/React/Vue, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS is preferred but not required.
- Integration development frameworks like Spring Framework, Spring Integration, Camel.
- Relational databases like MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and No-SQL Databases like MongoDB.
- Unit test frameworks like JUnit, TestNG.
- SOA, Restful and Micro services technologies.
- Messaging platforms like RabbitMQ, Kafka.
- CI/CD tools like GoCD, Jenkins, Concourse.
- Business process management tools like JBPM, Activiti, Flowable etc.
Desired Technical Skills
- Cloud development environments like Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS and Azure.
- Secured code development practices.
- Full stack development.
- Data analysis and reporting using tools like R, Python.
- AI/ML tools and methodologies
- Telco or Cable industry a plus.
