At DataLabs, Capital One India, we solve fundamental business problems at scale using advanced analytics, data science and machine learning. We specialize in deriving valuable insights about various aspects of the business - including product and process design, consumer behavior, regulatory and credit risk, and much more - from large volumes of data to build cutting edge patentable products at an industrial scale.
DataLabs is looking for an Engineering Manager to spearhead our foray into autonomous and intelligent data products that solve the full gamut of business and analytical needs. This role involves working with heads of lines of businesses in our Financial Services division to understand contemporary business needs, lead analytical teams to make impactful and actionable offers, and work with Engineering groups to lead tech delivery of large product builds. The role encompasses recruiting, developing and motivating an exceptional team that
is drawn from elite campuses in India and abroad, and focused on our mission to develop world class data products.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company
- Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities mentoring other members of the engineering community, and from time to time, be asked to code or evaluate code
- Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment
- Work with cloud native stack, build on AWS, use technologies like Kubernetes and Serverless
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 10 years of experience in software engineering
- At least 5 years experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud
- At least 5 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- At least 10 years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Python, Javascript,
- Angular.js or Node.js
- At least 5 years of experience in open source frameworks
- At least 7 years of people management experience
- At least 2 years of experience in Agile practices
- AWS Certification
