DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Assembly, Test, Paint, Upfit, and Kitting, Marine (ATPUKM) Director to join our Marine Business onsite at our Rocky Mountain Engine Plant (RMEP) in Whitakers, NC.
In this role, you will fully lead the Assembly, Test, Paint, Upfit, Kitting, Marine (ATPUKM) business for RMEP, with direct responsibility for operations, maintenance, quality, and Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering (ME/IE). You will oversee approximately 1,100 employees across all three shifts, providing comprehensive manufacturing leadership for a large plant or department. Your leadership will ensure operational excellence, high-quality standards, and efficient maintenance practices, driving the overall success of the ATPUKM business unit.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Drive operational results by setting and monitoring measures, motivating teams, and establishing expectations in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Manage, mentor, and coach individual and collective talent to enhance manufacturing and supply chain capabilities across the organization.
- Champion projects aligned with Cummins Operation System and Functional Excellence, leveraging common processes, tools, and information systems.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to maintain relationships and meet customer and business requirements.
- Review key performance indicators and operational trends to validate root cause analysis and implement corrective actions, addressing supply chain failures as necessary.
- Prepare and manage an annual operating plan, ensuring alignment with supply chain initiatives and championing Cummins values, including diversity, community involvement, and creating the right environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
- College, university, or equivalent degree required.
- Significant level of relevant work experience, including managerial and budgetary experience, required.
