DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Machinist – Level I – Apprentice to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Rocky Mount, NC.

- Tool and Fixture Design : Select and utilize work-piece-holding devices that effectively secure parts and products during manufacturing processes, ensuring they meet functional requirements.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Minimal or no work experience required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Pre-Testing Information
- Skilled Trades pre-test should be completed by internal applicants with a passing score before applying.
- External applicants will be contacted for testing if selected for an interview.
Additional Information
- This position will be focused on the refurbishment and manufacturing of cutting tools for use in RMEP's machining operations.
- Required skills include Blueprint reading, using precision measuring tools, CNC programming and machine operation, and understanding the application of cutting tool geometries.
- This position is an apprenticeship.
- Requirements will include earning course credits at a community college as well as earning 8000 hrs. of on-the-job training.
