DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Advanced Warehouse Operator – Level I to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Rocky Mount, NC.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Ensure Safety : Stop work and report any major injury hazards immediately, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Maintain Compliance : Adhere to HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations, using appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Optimize Warehouse Operations : Accurately receive, sort, label, and store goods, optimizing warehouse space and ensuring efficient operations.
- Enhance Quality Control : Perform quality checks for damage and discrepancies, identify non-conforming materials, and raise issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.
- Efficient Delivery : Operate manual and automated equipment to pick, pack, and ship products according to customer expectations, maintaining high competency in core work skills.
- Promote Teamwork : Communicate effectively with team members and support teams, actively participating in improving quality, safety, processes, and material flow.
- Support Environmental Goals : Recognize and minimize the environmental impact of your work, engaging in HSE training and promoting interdependence by looking out for colleagues.
- Maintain Cleanliness : Keep the work area clean and orderly, performing routine housekeeping and maintenance tasks to support business goals.

Education/Experience
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Minimal or no work experience required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Information
This role requires the employee to stand 90% of the time as they will be driving stand up tugger. Strictly adhering to core hours including breaks (15min Break and 30min Lunch) is must.
Core Responsibilities:
- Drive tugger to deliver material from North Dock to Production line and scan to complete the transaction using HHT.
- Access the floor to identify any discrepancy and escalate to CLT in a timely manner.
- Support operations and stakeholders with sense of urgency.
- Support CLT for inventory management when needed.
Experience:
- PIV driving experience and valid license preferred.
- Working with cross functional teams and vendors preferred but not required.
- Material transactions experience is preferred but not required.
