Operations and Communications Consultant

As an experienced management consultant and operations expert, you know how to help front offices of key government leaders informed and engaged so they help large organizations achieve major goals. We’re looking for experienced team members like you, who are ready to grow and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you’ll advance your consulting skills to design, develop, produce, and consult on a variety of internal and external client initiatives for a DoD office. Your self-guided yet collaborative spirit will shape and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients to bring in-depth understanding and expertise to one or more aspects of military service or joint missions, processes, and culture.
As a client-facing professional, you will provide leading operations and strategic management support to a team that collaborates on all aspects of program management support, oversight efforts, and management of contract staff. As you help manage key efforts and task prioritization on daily operations, projects, and more, you may help develop communications on sensitive subject matter of significant congressional and media interest. You will coordinate with appropriate government officials to obtain review and approval of time-sensitive deliverables and translate technical DoD policy and program efforts into consumable messaging for consumption by media and Congress. You’ll assist on the firm’s marketing and business development efforts, to include writing proposals.

You Have:
5+ years of experience in program management, people leadership, and client relationships
Experience with operations in the DoD enterprise
Experience researching technical and policy issues and developing subject expertise
Experience drafting concise messaging or talking points to accurately convey key messages and manage risks for senior government leaders
Experience with research and analysis of federal topics
Experience with preparing leaders or managers engagements with their key constituents or stakeholders
Experience with researching and writing proposals, information papers, and marketing and business development materials
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with the DoD and its senior leadership offices
Experience with DoD personnel policy organizations and offices
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
Master’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
