Join Our Team at Boeing Defence Australia (BDA)
We are seeking motivated Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services Capability. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to our CH-47F (Chinook) Maintenance and Logistics Support Program for the Republic of Singapore Air Force.

This position offers you the chance to either upskill your current qualifications or demonstrate your technical skills and be part of ground-breaking aerospace projects, collaborating closely with one of the Australian Defence Force's esteemed regional partners. You'll receive a full CH-47F (SG) Type training course, held onsite, equipping you for success in your role.
To diversify our team, we are specifically looking for all members of the Aviation trades industry to apply. If you have Fixed or Rotary Wing qualifications and have worked in General, Civil or Defence Aviation we are keen to hear from you.
For the right candidate, relocation assistance may be available to support your transition to our team.
Work Location and Travel Requirements
Successful candidates will have the option to travel away from their designated work location (Swartz Barracks, Oakey, Queensland - on the beautiful Darling Downs) for up to 12 consecutive weeks between August and November each year to support the fleet in operational Line Maintenance or stay at Oakey to support aircraft Base Maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in a new environment while fulfilling your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the MRO team to ensure efficient and accurate task completion, contributing to the production of airworthy aircraft.
- Communicate effectively with Boeing, customers, and industry teams to support maintenance operations.
- Adhere strictly to aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance/modification operating procedures, and documentation practices.
- Promote a positive attitude towards Environmental Health & Safety, prioritising the well-being of personnel and the environment.
Experience and Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics). (Cert II will also be considered)
- Knowledge of Aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures in an aviation context.
- Must be an Australian Citizen or be eligible for an Australian work visa.
- Hold a C class driver's license.
Desirable Qualifications
- Familiarity with paper-based or computer-based aircraft maintenance documentation (AMD).
- The ability to obtain of a DASR or CASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
Security Clearance
Candidates must successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (Baseline) sponsored by BDA. This requires full disclosure of relevant information and the ability to verify your background from birth to present.
