The Opportunity
We have multiple positions available ready for you to be our next Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics, to join the MQ-28A Program at RAAF Base Amberley, QLD. We think it is worth mentioning, MQ28 is based in a fully airconditioned Hanger! You also get to travel to some more remote areas of our beautiful country, several times a year.
Responsibilities
- As a BDA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and/or supervising the maintenance of Aircraft Avionics systems in both Line and Base environments. Tasks include modification, maintenance, manufacture, flight line and/or assembly activities
Experience/Qualifications - (Essential)
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills Avionics qualification
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Dept of Defence security clearance, at the required level for the role (NV1 minimum)
- Ability to obtain and maintain the clearance requirements for Global Trade Controlled items
- Ability to read, interpret, speak and write fluently in English
- Demonstrated computer (and related technology) literacy
Experience/Qualifications - (Desirable)
- 12 months experience as a fully qualified maintainer
- Ensuring compliance to 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)
- Demonstrate competence to seek and hold delegated authorities under the DASR 145 Aircraft Maintenance Regulatory Framework
- Demonstrated knowledge of aviation: quality assurance procedures; maintenance / modification procedures; AMD and ICA documentation
Security Clearance
If you do not already hold a Clearance, you will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (NV1 as minimum) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e. birth to present time.
