Staff Action Officer
Key Role:
Plan for and coordinate the development of comprehensive reports to improve the overall development and execution of organizational programs. Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses and program evaluation. Provide management with information regarding the improvement of initiatives and strategic plans. Analyze the implementation of new policies and allocation of needed resources. Oversee the development of facilities, systems, and budget analysis for the program. Plan, coordinate, and develop comprehensive reports to improve the overall development and execution of organizational programs.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with the DoD Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process
Experience working as an advisor to upper-level management, including GS-15 and above
Experience planning, coordinating, and developing comprehensive reports with minimal oversight to improve the overall development and execution of organizational programs
Experience with the implementation of new policies and strategies, including the allocation of needed resources and oversight of the development of facilities, systems, and strategic plans for programs
Ability to edit and write technical articles, publications, and presentations to communicate clearly and effectively research findings, technical developments, and pragmatic information to a wide range of external audiences
TS/SCI clearance
HS diploma or GED and 12+ years of experience with DoD Acquisition processes and policies supporting the development of recommended and required program documentation according to DoD regulations and directives, or Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience with DoD Acquisition processes and policies supporting the development of recommended and required program documentation according to DoD regulations and directives
Additional Qualifications:
Experience developing correspondence, running meetings, managing issues and action items, analyzing information for trends, and consolidating information for senior-level awareness and decision-making
Experience with the development of JCIDS capability requirements documentation and artifacts, including DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) views
Experience managing program contract transitions and associated transition risks
Experience with Information Technology systems
Ability to work independently
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III Certification in the area of Acquisition, Financial Management, or Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
