Universal Pictures were the first of the modern Hollywood studios, and over their one hundred years they have been responsible for some of the world’s most memorable feature films. The home of ET, Jurassic Park, Despicable Me, Jason Bourne, Dracula, Bridget Jones, Mamma Mia!, The Mummy, Les Misérables, King Kong and the unstoppable Fast & Furious franchise.
Universal Pictures International is responsible for the theatrical marketing and distribution of the Universal feature film slate outside of the US and Canada. We are the only Hollywood studio whose international team is actually based outside of Hollywood.
Job Description
ROLE OVERVIEW
This role will be instrumental in working with Hong Kong marketing team and supporting Marketing Manager and Head of Sales and Marketing in daily marketing operations within the territory.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initiate, handle and follow up with brand partnership and promotion.
- Organize and execute grassroot events.
- Organize and execute premiere and screenings.
- Manage and execute business events such as trade shows and conferences.
- Handle consumer product synergies and brand related movie projects and activities.
- Prepare promotion materials and manage movie premiums.
- Maintain office/warehouse inventory and character costumes.
- Manage in-theatre promotions and materials.
- Update data and prepare analytical reports on industry and market.
- Contribute creative marketing ideas and brainstorming.
- Prepare purchase order and handle SAP system.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Fresh graduate or equivalent with 1+ year of relevant experience either in-house or agencies. Relevant experience in films or related industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) in English and Chinese.
- Able to prepare outstanding power-point and excel presentation.
- Able to conduct data analysis with related tools.
- Passion in film is a must.
