KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country’s most critical role – protecting our national security.
You will join an advanced communications systems team that is involved in a synergistic combination of research, proof-of-concept test beds, and system engineering/application efforts focused on the goals of enhancing the capacity, the robustness to interference, and the flexibility of future generations of communications systems. Support includes software/firmware development, systems integration, and field test activities.

Responsibilities include:
- Software and firmware development on FPGAs, general processing, and graphics processing architectures. Includes coding, generating unit tests, executing unit testing, identifying and resolving bugs, and using industry standard configuration management tools and software development environments.
- Integrate components, subsystems, and systems as necessary to achieve program requirements. Define and execute necessary build up testing to enable successful integration of complex systems and subsystems. Diagnose and resolve integration issues. Generate, maintain, and implement Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and track technical performance measures.
- Field test integrated prototype systems or subsystems. Support test planning, setup, execution, and data analysis.
- Perform technology evaluations, support risk management activities, attend meetings, assist in program planning, write reports, and support or make presentations.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Active TOP SECRET clearance
- BS in EE, CS
- 10 years relevant work experience with hardware/software integration and testing
- Ability to program C/C++
- Experience with real-time processing architectures
- Experience troubleshooting integration issues
- System-level integration of software and hardware components to test and validate system performance
- Data analysis to evaluate, document, troubleshoot, and correct system/subsystem anomalies found during testing
- Familiarity with C, C++, and Linux/Unix
- Scripting in Python, Bash etc…
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills.
Desired:
- MS in EE, CS
- 15 years relevant work experience
- Possess strong oral and written communications skills, and must be able to present findings/results to internal and external organizations.
- MATLAB modeling
- Linux system programming
- Familiarity with lab test equipment, oscilloscope, power supply, generators etc…
