Haskell’s Design & Consulting Team unites architecture, engineering, and consulting professionals from across industries and geographies. Our diverse and innovative team allows Haskell to serve our clients with multiple project delivery methods including design-build, engineer-procure-construct, fee-for-service, or consulting services. These services allow our team to form a strong rapport with clients, marshalling them as they grow and helping them address industry and market challenges. The Design & Consulting Team serves a diverse set of markets including religous and cultural projects. In this role you will perform technical and graphic tasks as assigned by the Licensed Professional or supervisor.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conceptual Design
- Produces preliminary drawings and other design information at the direction of AE project leadership.
- Understand and adhere to basis of design for assigned projects.
- Detailed Design
- Analysis Ability
- Performs dimensional, interference and basic design checks on layouts and sketches as requested.
- Designing for Safety incorporated into drawings.
- Detailing
- Participates in coordination review sessions
- Uses Haskell standards and procedures.
- Corrects drawings from annotated mark-ups.
- Coordinates and checks own work carefully to minimize all deficiencies, errors and omissions.
- Maintains discipline project drawing files for assigned projects.
- Construction Documents
- Produces well-organized, finished drawings of good appearance, accuracy, clarity and correctness from layouts, sketches, verbal and/or written instructions.
- Construction Support
- Assists in marking up and processing shop drawings as assigned.
- Produces field order documents at the direction of AE Project leadership.
- Planning, Scheduling and Profitability
- Meets scheduled key dates.
- Discusses progress regularly with Licensed Professional of Record.
- Utilizes time efficiently.
- Advises Design Manager of changes.
- Participation in BID issued revisions to confirm project scope compliance with drawings.
- Project Management
- Records notes of meetings and telephone conversations and review with AE Project leadership.
- Adheres to established company standards and policies.
Education/Experience:
- Associate's of Applied Science in Interior Design or Bachelor's in Interior Design.
- Typical minimum experience: 0-3 years’ experience.
- Individual on a licensure track by either actively completing the NCIDQ.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:
- Discipline production software at beginner level (i.e., Revit).
- Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
