Program Summary

Job Summary

As an HSE Specialist, you will play a crucial role in implementing health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and guidelines. Your responsibilities will include incident investigations and reports, inspections, and ensuring compliance with HSE standards in alignment with client, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as KBR policies and procedures. You will engage with various stakeholders, including services personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies, interpreting standards, codes, and regulations. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and implementation of KBR values, systems, and standards, facilitating the collection and analysis of HSE statistics. This position reports to the EUCOM HSE Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities

Implement health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Conduct incident investigations and create incident reports.
Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with HSE standards including client, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as KBR procedures.
Interact with services personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to interpret standards, codes, and regulations.
Conduct audits of company-operated properties based on regulatory requirements and auditing standards.
Stay informed of regulatory requirements and auditing standards. Assist in the development and implementation of KBR values, systems, and standards for capturing and analyzing HSE statistics.
Work under general and occasional direct supervision to perform assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within the HSE field.
Perform administrative functions to support Occupational Health, including administrative support for coordinating medical physicals for KBR direct hire and subcontractor personnel.
Maintain patient confidentiality and provide a high level of employee service.
Coordinate actions with local clinics regarding occupational physicals and immunizations performed in a local healthcare facility; Review medical records (pre-employment, annual, return to work, sick days, immunization records, etc.)
Track and maintain medical records in accordance with Document File Plan (DFP); Track and update Medical Tracker and FFD Rosters.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

Requires a Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years of directly related HSE - Safety experience and 2 years of experience in medical role. A High School Diploma and at least 3+ years of relevant experience in HSE –Safety professional role may be considered in lieu of a degree and 3+ years in medical role.
Certificate/License of Nurse or EMT obtained through government accredited institution/authority.
Skills required for this position require minimum 3+ years of Occupational Health Administration and record-keeping.
Minimum of 2 years prior experience working on LOGCAP projects in health and safety related roles.
Experience using Microsoft office applications.
Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
Possess a valid driver's license with at least 6 months of remaining validity from the country/state of residency.
Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.

Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant HSE fields.
Additional languages spoken.
Extensive experience in HSE roles within diverse environments.
Specialized training in specific areas of occupational health and safety.
Familiarity with international HSE standards and practices.
Prior experience working on stateside or overseas U.S. military facilities/installations.
Proficiency in technology and programs supporting Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) HSE.
