SUMMARY:
The Quality Manager oversees the quality control processes to ensure products meet corporate and regulatory standards. They develop and implement quality control systems, monitor production processes, and conduct regular audits to identify and correct deficiencies. Additionally, they collaborate with other departments to establish quality assurance objectives and train employees on quality control measures. Their role is crucial in maintaining high product standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop quality vision and strategy for Dubuque, IA facility and manage a team of quality professionals to implement that vision.
- Develop, execute, and maintain the division's quality strategies and objectives in alignment with the enterprise vision over both the short and the long term.
- Manage actions directed toward total cost of quality, initial quality, warranty, air/water/structural, and the perfect order specific to the division.
- Ensure compliance to our quality systems and drive continuous improvement mindset throughout the team.
- Implement and manage non-conformance and error-proofing techniques, providing best practice knowledge to the manufacturing team.
- Continuously monitor product and process trends for changes in quality or related issues over the course of time.
- Build and actively develop talent for the next generation of quality leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- BS degree in Engineering or Quality/Technology related field
- 7+ years’ experience in Engineering/Technical Quality Management
- Deep understanding of quality management systems and standards, including supplier quality.
- Must be able to develop and improve concepts, standards and new applications based on quality principles and theories.
- Well versed in QA process and methodologies with an ability to adapt according to the needs of the business.
- Experience with the design, and maintenance of current and future business intelligence applications (i.e., Microsoft Power Apps, Power BI dashboards).
- Strong aptitude for continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to gain alignment across a cross-functional team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in technical field
- 7+ years experience in a regulated industry (ISO, IATF, etc.) as a quality leader
- Demonstrated experience leading teams driving compliance to Quality Management systems
- Thorough understanding of FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, DFM (Design For Manufacturing), and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action)
- Supplier source selection and CAPA supplier support.
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- ASQ quality certification
- Black Belt certification
- QMS implementation experience

PROFIT SHARING:
In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
