Description:You will be the Quality Engineer for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) in Grand Prairie, TX, supporting the Dallas Operations Quality Engineering team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for applying quality principles to support the production of mechanical manufactured components and assemblies. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards and requirements are met, and drive continuous improvement.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
•Applying quality principles in design, manufacturing, incoming materials, production control, and product evaluation
•Performing technical evaluations to ensure product requirements and specifications are met
•Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, and conducting product quality tests
•Collaborating with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers on quality-related issues
•Engaging in product failure investigations, material review board decisions, and corrective/preventive action
•Developing strategies to improve internal and supplier performance and productivity
•Evaluating quality systems for deficiencies and recommending corrective actions

Discover more about our Dallas, Texas location.Basic Qualifications:-Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline OR equivalent expereince/combined education.
-Selected candidate must be a US citizen and have the ability to maintain a Secret security clearance.
-2+ years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
-Demonstrated experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement.
-Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
-Strong communication skills (both oral and written) will be necessary to support the assignment and weekly reports.
-Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions.
-Extensive experience in disposition of nonconforming products.
Desired Skills:-Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline or higher is preferred.
-Manufacturing experience in additive manufacturing, machining, welding, mechanical assembly.
-Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102 and working with government customers.
-Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Specifications.
-ASQ certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt/Black Belt).

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
