What You Will Be DoingThe F-35 Mission Systems Supply Chain Management (SCM) Organization is seeking a Subcontract Manager to join our unique, fast-paced and dynamic Technical Refresh 3 (TR3) team. The successful candidate will join a team of SCMs responsible for the management of development, production and transition to sustainment of the F-35 TR3 Mission Systems including; supplier cost, schedule and technical performance.
Tasks include:
• Being involved with developing subcontract specifications, statements of work and terms and conditions
• Procurement of specialized materials, equipment and services
• Administration of a variety of contract types, evaluating and negotiating subcontractor proposals
• Issuing timely and compliant awards/subcontracts
• Contract negotiations, conducting cost analysis support, supplier management, and understanding procurement activity under the guidance of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations) DFARS
• Successful candidate will also mentor less experienced procurement professionals
Candidates can expect to develop skills in cost-reimbursement contract administration, EVMS and cost reporting, product development life-cycle and program management.

Basic Qualifications:• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
• Expereince with acquisition policies and procedures (associated knowledge of FAR / DFAR requirements)
• Program Management or Project Management experience
Desired Skills:• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or with 10 years of professional supply chain experience
• Experience with with development contract
• Experience leading a cross-functional team
• Buyer experience working US DoD contracts
• Experience managing major suppliers
• Cross-functional knowledge of Supplier Quality and Engineering as they relate to subcontract management

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
