Job Summary:
The CHVAC SBU Materials Project Manager has a variety of important responsibilities necessary for transformational growth and development of Trane Technologies Integrated Supply Chain. This role will provide hands on leadership and influence to drive engagement to create and lead supply chain improvements through the design and implementation of BOS driven standard work processes and technology within the Strategic Business Unit (SBU), resulting in improvements in customer service, profitability, and working capital. Key performance indicators for success will be both project level and organization level criteria such as inventory turns, on time shipping and customer delivery with a specific emphasis on Plan for Every Part, Transactional Control, Material Routes/Delivery and Inventory Accuracy. This position has the option for remote work.
Responsibilities:

Because of the nature of this role, the job will require a flexible individual with a willingness to learn various facets of supply chain theory and flex from project to project while seamlessly working with supply chain owners to establish standard processes.

Creating a structured strategy to drive improvements in the areas of material flow and control with a specific emphasis on: Plan for Every Plan for Every Part (PFEP), Warehouse Slotting, Transactional Control, Material Routes/Delivery and Inventory Accuracy

Champion, lead and participate in key transformational activities within the SBU including VSM, Kaizens, and Rapid Improvement Events.

Collaborate with necessary functional teams to identify and implement new systems/applications that improve supply chain capability, sustainability, and reliability

Develop technology and systems roadmap to continue transformational process changes that deliver best in class Inventory control, material movement, warehouse management, and inventory accuracy
To drive the creation of, and enhancements to, the Trane Technologies BOS in the areas of material flow and control including:

Using mission control processes and Business Operating System (BOS) standard work assessments to identify areas of

opportunity to facilitate transformational improvements in the SBU

Working with multiple sites to create or modify standard work as identified through mission control
-
Working across functions to identify opportunities to connect initiatives related to material flow, control (i.e. returnable packaging, logistics milk runs, supplier lot sizes, etc.)

Providing coaching to sites as subject matter expert related to material flow, control, activities, and cycle counting
-
Supporting SBU site standard work assessments as needed to develop strategic roadmap for continuous improvement
-
Creating and monitoring learning content related to material flow and control

Delivering best in class inventory control resulting in PIE certifications for sub-inventories
Qualifications:
-
Bachelors Degree preferred (Equivalent education / training / or experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree)

Ability to travel 50-70%
-
Experience coaching basic problem solving techniques required
-
Experience leading medium to large scale projects required; preferred WMS, RFID, ERP transitions, etc
-
Experience with cycle counting required; experience with the administration of a cycle count program highly preferred
-
Experience in material control, materials planning, master scheduling, or forecasting/demand planning required; experience with lean material control processes, especially PFEP, Material Routes and line-side-presentation highly preferred

Experience working in a world-class Lean Manufacturing environment highly preferred
-
Experience working across multiple manufacturing environments (MTO, MTS, ETO, ATO) required

Experience with enterprise ERP/MRP system required, Oracle preferred

CPIM certified or willing to gain certification within 1 year of start date

Base Pay Range (for Colorado Residents): $70,000-$130,000
