Title:
Orbital Analyst
KBR is seeking an experienced Orbital Analyst to support Space Delta 9 on Schriever SFB. CO with 1 SOPS Mission Planning Cell Support. An active TS/SCI (SAP/SAR eligible day 1) clearance is required, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the mission planning brief template, campaign planning slides, mission planning cell procedures and the mission planning database.
- Interface with the 1 SOPS Weapons and Tactics flight to document lessons learned and ensure that all new TTPs are integrated into mission planning procedures.
- Support monthly Mission Planning Cell meetings and document required changes to mission procedures.
- Interface with all Delta 9 training elements to ensure that all new mission planning processes and procedures are integrated into training.
- Work with 9 CTS to develop and disseminate critical information files related to mission planning providing data required to explain all changes outlined CIF as they relate to mission planning.
- Facilitate the 1 SOPS Post-Shift Debrief program documenting post-mission analysis to include event reconstruction, consolidating significant observations (“big rocks”), lesson learned/learning point development, and post-mission analysis product development.
- Ensure all lessons learned and learning points are actioned upon to include training material for Mission Qualification, Difference Training, updates to procedures and the Standards and Evaluation program.
- Maintain and update the post-mission/post-shift analysis (debrief) database in a usable form for Delta 9 pre-mission planning review.
- Generate, maintain, update training products for the 1 SOPS Post-Mission Debrief program, 1 SOPS Post-Shift Debrief program, and post-mission/post-shift analysis (debrief) database.
Qualifications:
Required:
- An active TS/SCI clearance is MANDATORY, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
- B.S. in related field. Additional education and/or certifications in lieu of experience will be considered.
- 10+ years working space operations.
- 3+ years specific to orbital warfare specific missions.
- Formal Orbital Analyst Training. Satellite Tool Kit, FreeFlyer, Microsoft Suite (to include Excel and Access).
- Prior Space Delta 9 Experience (1 SOPS, 3 SOPS)

Basic Compensation:
$100,000 - $115,000
This range is for Colorado only.
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
