The Opportunity:
KBR is looking for a skilled Configuration Management Analyst to work within an integrated Systems Program Office (SPO) team to provide expert professional services and advice to the MSP’s Engineering Lead, and the Configuration Manager.
You will work to ensure the overall consistency of configuration, control, monitoring, and management of new and existing engineering changes affecting the platform, system, or equipment design and product baselines in the RAN Configuration Management Tool – Unified (CMT-U).
This role is located at HMAS Waterhen, Sydney, and will require the successful candidate to be on site minimum 3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Critically analyse data and information to determine best possible solutions using defined methodologies, processes and procedures.
- Collate, develop and manage data and information from one or more sources and the delivery of that data and information to one or more destinations including CMT-U, AMPS, NAVALLOW, APLCRATES, DOORS, TRMS and MILIS.
- Provide support and assist with the development, delivery and execution of the Configuration Management Plan that fulfils the intention of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
- Progress new, current and backlogged ECPs.
- Engage with SPO staff including Australian Public Servants (APS), uniformed staff (Navy and Army) and Contractors responsible for the configuration management of their platforms, systems and products.
- Critically assess the engineering change process to resolve deficiencies.
- Plan and manage configuration changes and deviations and changes to the Product Baselines.
- Plan and manage conduct physical and functional configuration audits.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
- Relevant undergraduate degree and 3+ years’ experience, or equivalent technical knowledge and work experience.
- Knowledge of and experience with engineering, technical and logistic practices in an Asset Management Framework.
- A high level of Technical Data Management experience in an asset management environment.
- Knowledge in Navy Logistics Information Systems (NLIS) including:
- CMT-U (advanced user - mandatory),
- AMPS (advanced user - desirable),
- NAVALLOW (basic or read only - mandatory),
- APLCRATES (APL creation and maintenance - desirable),
- MILIS (basic or read only - mandatory),
- DOORS (basic or read only - desirable),
- TRMS (basic or read only - mandatory), and
- Objective (advanced user - mandatory).
- High level of technical and general document writing skills including authoring of specifications, processes and procedures, internal training material and preparation of reports and detailed designs from the technical data management systems.
- Strong understanding of the asset management capability lifecycle.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding an NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
