What does a successful Merchant Account Executive do?
In this dynamic and rewarding role, a successful Merchant Account Executive will be responsible for a portfolio of Community Financial Institutions of varying size and complexity. You will enjoy developing strategic growth plans and drive retention with the financial institution at multiple levels of leadership, including executive leadership up to CEOs. You will thrive in the client’s office, driving lasting results and relationship longevity. Lastly, a successful Merchant Account Executive will increase satisfaction and loyalty for current clients while optimizing and protecting revenue.
What you will do:
- Reach across Fiserv to solve complex issues as well as participate in strategic and tactical initiatives for continued efficiency, with a strong focus on delivery of results.
- Partner closely with our internal support teams to ensure we are aligned on the objectives and meeting expectations of the client.
- Ensure client retention and controlling renewal compression to limit the erosion of pricing at renewal.
- Build, foster, and maintain client relationships to improve visibility of additional company solutions and develop further growth opportunities.
- Conduct client training, metric performance discussions, and serving as an escalation point.
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years selling experience in merchant services
- 2+ years of managing a portfolio of clients
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
What would be great to have:
- 1+ year work experience in a financial institution (bank or credit union)
- Experience with Salesforce, eCRM, Microsoft Office
- High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, PowerBI

- Ability to travel minimum of 50% of the time and work weekends/evenings, as necessary
