This is a hybrid role where you are required to be in the Columbus, Ohio office 2 days per week.
As a Delivery Leader on the Annuity Technology team, you will be responsible for leading a team of technology professionals in the development and implementation of technology solutions that support the annuity business. You will also be responsible for managing a value stream as part of the Annuity Modernization effort.
The ideal candidate will have experience in working with technology teams, developing and implementing technology solutions, and working with business stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements. You should have a strong understanding of API, microservices, and streaming technologies to help drive innovation and efficiency in the development process. In addition, you should also have knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines to ensure that the development process is at the right level of automation, adheres to security requirements, and ensures the right levels of monitoring and observability. You should also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. As a Delivery Leader you’ll be responsible for delivering value and outcomes. Delivery leaders are expected to have an end-to-end vantage point on delivery, manage dependencies, remove blockers, engage partners, manage financials, maximize vendor relationships, and enable an iterative delivery of value. Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Drives the End to End delivery of expected business outcomes, realization of benefits as outlined in the business case, drives incremental value, drives incremental planning, and drives dependency scope definition.
Responsible for the communication, critical issues, visibility, change management guidance to deliver business outcomes.
Key contributor in the facilitation of contract negotiations, statement of work development and vendor oversight toward expected goals.
Drives the prioritization of deliverables, handles moderate to complex issues/risks, governs dependencies.
Is responsible for the delivery of status/health reports to drive value delivery tracking (ex: KPIs), optimizes the flow of value and ensures demand/capacity is handled.
Works with medium to large project/product financials.
Serves as a professional to others around delivering business outcomes, benefit realization, agile delivery, and Lean.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Delivery Leader or Business Solution Area Executive.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies (bachelor’s degree preferred) in management information systems, engineering, math, computer science, data analytics or comparable experience and education strongly preferred.
License/Certification/Designation: Technology certifications or PMI, SAFE, Agile or Lean designations are encouraged.
Experience: Six or more years of experience in technology or related field. Three years demonstrated proficiency in delivering outcomes/projects. Awareness of emerging technologies and/or industry trends.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Ability to make decisions and recommendations. Aptitude to influence, establish relationships and set priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of associates, senior management and/or vendors. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.
