What does a successful Director of Data Engineering (Keying & Linking) do?
You will build and take ownership of the design and development of data engineering projects and lead large-scale data engineering project to key & link internal and external data sources using PII, PCI and account information. You will define data quality metrics, automate, and monitor the changes in the KNL repository and work with key stakeholders to ensure that project deliveries are aligned with the expected business outcomes and mitigate any business and technical risk.
What you will do:
- Lead a team of data engineers to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines/infrastructure
- Hands on development in Java/Python to ingest, manage and monitor PII/PCI data with keen eye to automate the workflow
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions and keep track of deliverables
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices, coding standards, and software development methodologies to deliver high-quality and scalable software solutions
- Monitor and analyze software development metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track team productivity, efficiency, and code quality
What you will need to have:
- 10+ years of overall IT experience
- 7+ years’ experience in a senior leadership role within software development or software engineering using Java & Python
- 4+ years’ experience with solutions for processing large volumes of data, using data processing tools and Big Data platforms like data bricks and in software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban, and experience in CICD
- 3+ years’ experience working with Azure Cloud or other major cloud platforms, and knowledge of deploying and managing APIs in a cloud environment
- 3+ years’ experience in Keying & Linking, preferably in a large commercial credit bureau and SQL experience and strong technical expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and modern software development languages and frameworks
- 2+ years’ experience working with NO SQL databases like Yuga byte/Cassandra, REDIS
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
What would be great to have:
- 1+ years’ experience in Banking, Cards or Payments industry
- 1+ years’ experience working with Identity resolution, Fraud, Ad-Tech/Mar-Tech
