What does a successful Senior Network Engineer do at Fiserv?
You will join an experienced network application services team responsible for design, development, deployment, and maintenance of a wide variety of networking technologies and solutions that provide global intercommunications throughout Fiserv and its customers.
What you will do:
- Deliver a variety of network, security, cloud, virtualization, SDN, and automation technologies
- Drive early concept assessments through POCs to ensure validity of proposed industry and vendor solutions
- Partner with other teams across the organization to ensure internal adoption of such solutions and remain engaged throughout their lifecycles
- Serve as a mentor to other engineers
What you will need to have:
- 5+ years of experience in automating network and/or security deployments and functions in a multi-tenant or multi-data center environment
- 5+ years of experience in coding and scripting languages, including Python, Ansible, Powershell, Netmiko, Netconf, Napalm, Jinja, Yaml, JSON, and APIs
- 5+ years of experience in automation and orchestration solutions (Ansible, SaltStack, Rundeck, Docker, Jenkins, NetBox, and GIT)
- 5+ years of experience in designing and deploying NS, GSLB, VPN, Anycast, and Active Directory services using PCI and DSS controls, protections, and best practices
- 2+ years of experience in deploying and diagnosing the following: IP, TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, VLANs, MPLS, IPSEC, DMVPN, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VRF, VxLAN, RPKI, eVPN, VRRP, MLAG, VPC, STP, Anycast, IPSEC, SSL, and TLS
- 2+ years of experience in tuning and diagnosing dynamic routing protocols and associated attributes for complex route manipulation
- 2+ years of experience with Software Defined Networking solutions (Versa and/or Cisco SDWAN, NFV, Cloud Provider Peering) and Agile methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
What would be great to have:
- Juniper Route and Switch certifications and Cisco Route and Switch certifications
- Experience in provisioning and maintenance of Public Internet Addressing (ARIN, RiR, RPKI)
- Experience deploying virtualized networking and security functions
- Experience deploying Arista EOS or vEOS Switching platforms and designing and deploying IPv6
- Experience with Linux and Windows system administration
