Job Summary:
The Team Lead, Market Liaison Support Services (MLSS) oversees a team of Market Liaison Support Services Analysts, assists with strategic planning initiatives, process improvement, and implementation of MLSS Team action plans.
Essential Functions:
- Provide leadership and direction to direct reports to ensure the goals, policies and standards of the department and CareSource are met
- Monitor scheduling, attendance, and work allocation of team; provide oversight and conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports
- Engage direct reports through consistent performance feedback and development opportunities
- Direct activities to monitor MLSS requirements
- Direct activities to identify and perform regular oversight and monitoring of MLSS
- Recommend process improvements based on findings from monitoring activities
- Conduct monthly reviews with the MLSS Team
- Work cross-functionally with the other MLSS Teams as well as Operational Teams to identify process gaps and drive improvements
- In collaboration with the manager and MLSS Analyst III, develop, update, and implement department SOPs and training tools
- Analyze and report financial savings related to process improvements
- Ensure quantitative and qualitative measures are used to meet performance objectives
- Build strong working relationships within and outside of MLSS for resolving systemic issues and driving process improvements
- Perform any other job related instructions as requested
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
- Minimum of three (3) years in managed care or healthcare operations environment is required
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred
Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:
- Overall knowledge and understanding of MLSS related systems and processes is preferred
- Intermediate proficiency level with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
- Solid understanding of claims processing and healthcare operations
- Ability to document and maintain business and system requirements including process flows
- Ability to analyze processes and produce recommendations for improvements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

Working Conditions:
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time

- May be required to travel, estimated at less than 10%
Compensation Range:
$70,800.00 - $113,200.00

In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
